SPE Distinguished Lecture Program
The Petroleum Engineering Department is delighted to announce that the Future University in Egypt hosts the SPE distinguished lecture on Tuesday 17th November 2015, 6:00 pm at University Theatre.
The lecture is given by Dr. Dyan Gibbens: "How to Save Time, Money and Reduce Personal Exposure Using Unmanned Aircraft Systems"
The Distinguished Lecturer program is a group of peer-nominated professionals selected yearly to share their expertise with SPE members each year, SPE selects a group of professionals, nominated by their peers, to share their knowledge and expertise with SPE members through visits to local sections.
Dyan Medina Gibbens
Dyan, a PhD candidate in Industrial Engineering and Management, focuses on Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) integration. A US Air Force Academy graduate, she served as a USAF Acquisitions Officer and aerospace Program manager for nuclear cruise missiles and nuclear surety. Later, she supported Air Force One.
Nearly a decade, Dyan focused on UAS integration and supported a Business Case Analysis (Global Hawk UAS, 2010) and cofounded International Consortium of Aeronautical Test Sites (ICATS, 2013).
Dyan earned BS in Civil Engineering (USAFA), MBA (OSU), and IEM PhD candidate (OSU) supporting hydrocarbon detection. A pilot, she earned Georgetown's CMAP and Stanford’s SCPM credentials.
