The department deeply encourages the undergraduates to contribute to student activities and be a part of the International Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and its student chapter. As a result, FUE SPE student chapterhave been awarded 4 times the Excellence and Outstand Award and marked as the best Student Chapter in Egypt by the Global Society (SPE) the latest was in 2023. The FUE also award those students with the highest ranks and that is marked as active student with Fully funded participation in International Oil and Gas Conferences and Abroad Workshops.
