It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Department of Architectural Engineering, one of the pioneering academic departments established within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology in September 2006. Operating at the intersection of art, design, and technology, the Department of Architectural Engineering addresses societal and environmental challenges facing the local and regional built environment and focuses on the opportunities those challenges offer.
We are fortunate to be part of a growing and dynamic learning and research institution through its current implementation of futuristic pedagogical approaches and investment in educational, and research infrastructure. Capitalizing on these opportunities, our facilities reflect up to date instructional technology. Our faculty members are responsive educators with research and professional expertise that foster the effective delivery of our programs. In this respect, the department's vision is to become a leading provider of architectural and urban education in the region.
The staff of the Architectural Engineering Department are currently working around the clock to achieve a significant level of internationalization. The staff are actively involved now in an international academic cooperation project that is funded by the Erasmus Plus Project of the European Union. This project involves direct cooperation with universities in Germany, Spain, Italy, Greece, Lebanon as well as Egypt, which will impact in a positive way the academic experience of our students.
Architectural Education is a two-way Learning Process and the mutual relationship between the professors and students. The staff ensures to transfer their valuable knowledge to the students, and expect the students to exert a lot of effort and perseverance in their learning process.
Whatever is the purpose of your visit to our website, I invite you to navigate the different pages, to know more about the Department of Architectural Engineering, and explore our programs, and our resources.
