A New Milestone in Digital Education at FUE Future University in Egypt (FUE) has officially inaugurated its new Immersive Technology Laboratory (VR Lab) at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, marking a significant step forward in the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational excellence, digital transformation, and innovation-driven learning.
A New Milestone in Digital Education at FUE Future University in Egypt (FUE) has officially inaugurated its new Immersive Technology Laboratory (VR Lab) at the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, marking a significant step forward in the university’s ongoing efforts to enhance educational excellence, digital transformation, and innovation-driven learning. The laboratory was established through the UPTAKERS Project, supported by the Erasmus+ Programme and co-funded by Future University in Egypt. The facility has been designed to provide students, researchers, and academic staff with access to advanced virtual reality and immersive technologies that are increasingly shaping the future of education, engineering, research, and industry. The inauguration reflects FUE’s commitment to creating modern learning environments that bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while preparing students for the evolving demands of the global workforce. Distinguished University Leadership Attends the Opening Ceremony The inauguration ceremony was attended by Prof. Ebada Sarhan, President of Future University in Egypt, who toured the new facility and explored the technologies and learning opportunities it offers. During the event, Prof. Sarhan expressed his appreciation for the continuous development taking place across the university and highlighted the importance of investing in advanced educational infrastructure. Exploring the Potential of Virtual Reality in Engineering Education Located within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology, the Immersive Technology Lab serves as a multidisciplinary platform where students and researchers can utilize virtual reality and immersive digital tools across a wide range of academic and professional disciplines. The laboratory enables users to interact with realistic simulations, visualize complex engineering concepts, and engage in hands-on experiences that extend beyond traditional classroom learning.
