FUE Faculty of Engineering & Technology Strengthens Community Bonds Through Outreach Visit to Awlady Orphanage
The Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Future University in Egypt (FUE), represented by the Community Service & Environment Development Sector, successfully concluded a meaningful outreach visit to Awlady Orphanage in Degla Maadi. This initiative reflects FUE’s continuous commitment to social responsibility and active community engagement. A delegation of faculty members and students from various departments dedicated a full day to interacting with the children, fostering an atmosphere of solidarity, encouragement, and shared joy. The day’s program was carefully structured to combine educational value with recreational engagement. Activities commenced with a communal breakfast that set a welcoming and friendly tone for the visit. This was followed by a series of sports activities, including football matches and track marathons, promoting teamwork, enthusiasm, and positive interaction. In line with the faculty of Engineering and Technology’s spirit, students led hands-on creative workshops where children designed and crafted colorful Ramadan lanterns, personalized pencil cases, and miniature architectural models. These activities encouraged creativity, critical thinking, and collaboration, while creating meaningful memories for all participants. The visit concluded with the distribution of commemorative gifts, including stationery, art supplies, and keychains aimed at supporting the children’s educational and creative development. Through such initiatives, Future University in Egypt continues to strengthen its role as an institution that not only advances academic excellence but also prioritizes community empowerment. The Faculty of Engineering & Technology remains committed to nurturing engineers who are not only highly skilled professionals but also compassionate and socially responsible leaders.

VR Immersion for Interior Design Workshop at the Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Future University in Egypt
As part of its continuous commitment to innovation andintegrating cutting-edge technologies into education, the Faculty ofEngineering & Technology at Future University in Egypt is organizing aspecialized workshop titled “VR Immersion for Interior Design”, scheduled totake place on April 22-23, 2026.This intensive workshop is designed for interior designstudents and enthusiasts, offering a hands-on learning experience thatintroduces participants to the use of Virtual Reality (VR) in developing andpresenting design projects in a more immersive and professional manner.Workshop OverviewThe workshop focuses on transforming traditional 3D modelsinto fully interactive virtual environments. Participants will learn how toconvert their designs created using SketchUp or Rhino into navigable VRexperiences.ObjectivesThe workshop aims to:• Introducing the fundamentals of Virtual Reality and related hardware• Explore the software ecosystem used in architectural visualization• Prepare and optimize 3D models for real-time rendering• Create realistic materials and lighting environments• Develop interactive and navigable VR scenes• Enhance design presentation and client communicationLearning OutcomesBy the end of the workshop, participants will be able to:• Build immersive and interactive virtual environments• Apply realistic lighting scenarios (day/night)• Integrate interactive elements such as switches and animated assets• Create guided virtual tours using camera paths and animations• Generate standalone executable (.EXE) files for easy project sharing• Produce a professional 30-second animated presentation videoWorkshop StructureThe workshop is divided into two main sessions:Session One:Covers the fundamentals of VR, including hardware and software, modelpreparation, scene building, application of PBR materials, lighting setup, andthe first VR testing experience.Session Two:Focuses on creating interactivity and presentation through animations, camerapaths, and guided tours, in addition to performance optimization and exportingthe final project as a standalone executable file, along with a shortpresentation video.Final DeliverablesParticipants will receive:• A portfolio showcasing their workflow and outputs• A complete VR project for a small interior space• A standalone (.EXE) file• A 30-second animated videoRegistration Dates• Registration Opens: March 18, 2026• Registration Closes: April 14, 2026For more information and to register for the workshop: https://services.fue.edu.eg/dce/Engineering/default.aspx?cid=1507This workshop reflects Future University in Egypt’sdedication to equipping students with advanced practical skills that align withevolving industry demands in design and technology.
