The Third Edition of "Interior Design for Beginners" Concludes with Remarkable Success at Future University in Egypt
The Faculty of Engineering & Technology at Future University in Egypt has successfully concluded its "Interior Design for Beginners" course, reaffirming the university's commitment to providing practical learning experiences that empower participants with creative and professional skills beyond the traditional classroom. The program witnessed strong attendance and enthusiastic engagement throughout its duration, reflecting the growing interest in interior design education and the increasing demand for specialized short courses that combine academic knowledge with practical application. Participants benefited from an inspiring learning environment designed to introduce them to the fundamentals of interior design while encouraging creativity and innovation. The course was delivered by a distinguished team of academic and industry experts with extensive experience in architecture and interior design: Prof. Shaimaa Kamel Professor, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University. Dr. Ayman Ramadan Lecturer, Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University, and Co-Founder & Owner of Art Line Design Consultancy Group. Dr. Tamer Ramadan Lecturer and Co-Founder & Owner of Art Line Design Consultancy Group. Throughout the program, the speakers shared their academic expertise and professional insights, providing participants with a balanced learning experience that combined design theory, practical application, and real-world industry perspectives. Over the course of 12 hours of hands-on training, participants gained a comprehensive introduction to the principles of interior design. The program covered essential topics including design elements and principles, space planning, furniture layout, color theory, lighting design, materials and finishes, budgeting, and the development of complete interior design concepts. One of the course's greatest strengths was its practical approach. Rather than focusing solely on theory, participants had the opportunity to apply what they learned through interactive workshops and real design exercises. They developed mood boards, floor plans, and visual presentations while receiving professional guidance that helped transform their creative ideas into well-structured design concepts. The course also encouraged participants to think critically about how interior spaces influence comfort, functionality, productivity, and overall well-being. By combining creativity with technical knowledge, attendees learned how to create spaces that are both aesthetically appealing and practical for everyday use. The overwhelmingly positive response to the course reflects the increasing interest in design education and highlights its meaningful impact on participants. Many attendees completed the program with greater confidence in their creative abilities, a stronger understanding of design fundamentals, and practical skills they can apply in both personal and professional settings. Through initiatives like the "Interior Design for Beginners" course, Future University in Egypt continues to expand opportunities for lifelong learning by offering specialized programs that bridge academic expertise with real-world application. Faculty of Engineering & Technology Launches Eco-Scapes FUE Club at C-Hub 2026
Future University in Egypt (FUE) continues to expand opportunities for student engagement and community involvement with the launch of the Eco-Scapes FUE Club, introduced by the Faculty of Engineering & Technology through its Community Service & Environment Development Sector during C-Hub 2026, held from 5 to 7 October. The launch marked a new step in the University’s commitment to sustainability, environmental awareness, and meaningful community engagement, providing students with a platform to explore how their knowledge and ideas can contribute to a healthier environment and more resilient communities. As part of C-Hub 2026, students had the opportunity to discover the University’s diverse student clubs, extracurricular activities, and opportunities for personal and professional development beyond the classroom. The introduction of Eco-Scapes added a new dimension to campus life by encouraging students to connect academic learning with environmental responsibility and practical community action. Registration was opened to students across Future University in Egypt. Eco-Scapes FUE Club: Connecting Education, People, and the Environment Eco-Scapes FUE Club is an interdisciplinary platform designed to promote socio-ecological well-being and environmental development through learning, research, innovation, and community service. Its central vision is to bring together different academic disciplines and perspectives to address environmental challenges and respond to the evolving needs of campus and society. By encouraging collaboration between students and the wider university community, the club aims to transform knowledge into practical initiatives that support sustainable development. It also promotes the idea of the university campus as a living laboratory, where innovative environmental solutions can be explored, tested, and applied in real-life settings. Through this approach, Eco-Scapes seeks to strengthen students’ understanding of the relationship between people, their surroundings, and the environment, while fostering a culture of responsibility, creativity, and active citizenship. Four Pillars of Action: Learn, Research, Transform, and Serve Eco-Scapes FUE Club is built around four interconnected pillars that provide students with opportunities to develop their skills, explore new ideas, and contribute to environmental and community initiatives. 1. Learn: Building Skills and Environmental Awareness The club will provide opportunities for students to participate in workshops, knowledge-sharing activities, site visits, design challenges, and interdisciplinary learning experiences. These activities aim to strengthen students’ practical skills, broaden their perspectives, and encourage them to explore sustainable approaches to everyday challenges. 2. Research: Exploring the Relationship Between People and Their Environment Through socio-ecological, behavioural, and environmental studies, students will have opportunities to investigate how people interact with their surroundings and how the design and use of spaces can influence well-being. This research-oriented approach encourages evidence-based thinking and helps students connect academic inquiry with real environmental and social needs. 3. Transform: Turning the FUE Campus into a Living Laboratory Eco-Scapes will encourage the development of smart green campus initiatives and practical sustainability projects that allow students to explore and apply environmentally responsible ideas. By viewing the campus as a living laboratory, the club aims to create opportunities to test innovative solutions, improve environmental awareness, and support more sustainable campus practices. 4. Serve: Creating Positive Community Impact The club’s community service pillar focuses on civic and environmental initiatives that respond to real community needs. By translating student knowledge and creativity into practical projects, Eco-Scapes seeks to encourage active participation in environmental improvement and strengthen the connection between university learning and community development. An Interdisciplinary Platform Open to the FUE Community Eco-Scapes FUE Club welcomes students from all faculties, alongside interested academic staff, teaching assistants, and administrative staff. This inclusive approach encourages collaboration across disciplines, allowing participants to contribute their technical knowledge, creative ideas, research interests, and individual experiences to shared environmental challenges. By bringing together members of the university community with diverse backgrounds and skills, the club aims to create an environment where collaboration leads to new perspectives and practical solutions. Its interdisciplinary nature also offers students opportunities to develop teamwork, problem-solving, research, and leadership skills while participating in initiatives with a wider social and environmental purpose. Advancing Sustainability Through Student Engagement The launch of Eco-Scapes FUE Club reflects Future University in Egypt’s ongoing commitment to enriching campus life, supporting student development, and encouraging active participation in community service and environmental initiatives. Through the Faculty of Engineering & Technology and its Community Service & Environment Development Sector, the initiative creates new opportunities to connect education with real-world challenges and encourage students to become active contributors to sustainable development. As Eco-Scapes begins its journey, its vision extends beyond the campus. By bringing together learning, research, environmental innovation, and civic engagement, the club seeks to demonstrate how student participation can help shape more sustainable spaces and stronger communities. At Future University in Egypt, the launch of Eco-Scapes represents an invitation to turn ideas into action, connect knowledge with purpose, and make sustainability a shared responsibility across the university community.
